June is a talented rug hooker and author who will present “A Personal Odyssey in Rug Hooking:The Percolation and Expression of Ideas.” A trained physicist, she also spent a year in Europe and studied at the Sorbonne in Paris. Today, she still has one foot in the sciences and the other in the arts. June has been a rug hooker for 20 years and just completed her first book, If Wool Could Talk—Hooked Rugs, A Memoir, which she will sell and sign at our show. Read about June Myles...
The 2008 Newtown Hooked Rug Show will be presented in the cafetorium of the Reed Intermediate School--where everything will be in one convenient location. Rug displays, vendors, speaker, workshop and lunch will be under one roof, with plenty of on-site free parking for vendors and shoppers.
As always, we invite you to display your work and, again this year, we have two categories available: Juried and Non-Juried.
